Do you regularly drink milk every day? Regular milk consumption was found to reduce the risk of heart disease.
Milk is not only delicious, but also useful for human health. Results of research at Harvard University, United States, showed that consumingthree glasses of milk every day can reduce the risk of heart diseaseby 18 percent.
The results
Research conducted by reviewing 17 studies from Europe, Americaand Japan. The researchers found no association betweenconsumption of regular or low-fat milk and increased risk of heartdisease, stroke, or death.
"Milk is nutritious and healthy beverage. Rich in natural nutrients, likecalcium, potassium, and protein," said Cindy Schweitzer, Director of Engineering Dairy Platform Global Dairy Company.
The study was conducted on 300 men and women who were overweight during the two years. In conclusion, people who consumedhigh calcium milk, lost 38% of their body weight compared with those who consumed low-calcium milk.
The researchers also reviewed 21 studies covering nearly 350thousand data and concluded that consumption of foods containingsaturated fat is not associated with an increased risk of coronary heartdisease or heart disease.
A study of 23,366 men in Sweden was also performed. In that study, it was revealed that calcium intake above the recommended daily levelcan reduce the risk of death from heart disease and cancer by 25%.
